We are now at our crib (bach for the North Islanders) which is across the road from the sea - at high tide the lounge window is about 10m from the water. We have a computer but it is a Pentium 200 running IE 3.0 and the highest speed we can get on the crackly phone line is 4,800 bps. Aargh! I'll have to get a better browser.

This township is a showcase for kiwi ingenuity. My favourites so far are the bicycle frame fence (they were planted into the ground close together and left in their original rainbow of colours); the fence made from garage roller doors and the security light made from a lightbulb and a jam jar. I'm afraid we haven't added to the interest in any way. Maybe I'll mosaic some fish on the water tank or construct a gazebo out of the leftover spouting.

This is the ephemeral marks left after traversing the web and life.

This isn't me, it's bits of me... the bits I'm willing to share; nothing more, nothing less (see above for details).
