We went to the Anything Vintage festival today, with URL Girl and her mother.
The Petenic and I went to Paraparaumu for lunch first, then to Waikanae, then back to MacKay's Crossing where the festival was held. URL Girl and her mother took the 1954 Cyclops train to Paraparaumu then old bus and met us at the festival.
We wandered around the stalls, were amused by a stall holder with a "sale" sign up, and avoided eating any junk.
The trams were running to the beach every 12 minutes, so the Petenic and I took a brief break and wandered to the beach.
There were 3 trams running, two different types, and taking the break allowed us to experience both.
On the trip the conductor had a petition for MacKay's Crossing to become an on demand stop on weekends and public holidays. It makes sense to me; it's outside commutter time and would benefit events such as today's.
