Yesterday, as I was preparing the Christmas tree for trimming, I discovered I'm allergic to it. By the time I got the tree home, into the stand, and the lights on, my arms were covered with unsightly welts. I'd taken an anti-histamine earlier that morning, so that's not a solution
Despite this, I now have a very well decorated tree, and had a good day yesterday at my seventh annual tree-trimming party. The weather was magnificent and the company was great. The tree is a very pleasing shape, and two guests laid the foundation of garlands, making the placements of the red and silver decorations well balanced.
The fortunate thing about the pine tree allergy is that it seems to be limited to contact, so I can still enjoy the scent.
