I'd like travel around Italy, combining cycling and trains (for the hilly bits). I think a self guided tour would be better than being part of a guided tour.

After I dabble with mosaics I want to end up with a nice garden table covered with a mosaic top.

Yes, I want to jump out of a plane. Yes, I do still have a fear of heights.

Kayaking to Rangitoto will be easy, I just have to get around to doing it. I'd rather do it with someone I know.

I want to do this. Part of me wants to get off each night, just so that I don't sleep the journey away. I don't know if summer or winter would be better.

Steps:

  1. Build up Cycling fitness
    1. Cycle 15km
    2. Cycle 25km
    3. Cycle 40km
    4. Cycle 60km
    5. Cycle 75km
    6. Cycle 100km (metric century)
    7. Cycle 120km
    8. Cycle 160km (100m miles)

Each of these steps need to be done within three months of the previous step.

  2. Arrange a support car to help me home if necessary

One option I have is to ride to Hamilton and catch the train back.

Life lists are things you intend to do sometime in your life. They can be as lofty or lowly as you like. After all, who besides ourselves can put a value on what's important to us?

How many times have you uttered the words I've always wanted to... or Someday I’m going to...? We all have dreams—traveling to exotic locales, adopting a healthier lifestyle, making a difference in someone's life. But most of us give little more than lip service to experiences that we suspect will profoundly affect us for the better. Why? We're too busy, too broke, too cynical, too tired, and too... grownup to pursue such impractical interests. Meanwhile, we wrestle with a vague sense of life passing us by, certain there has to be more, something to connect us to ourselves, to nature, and to each other, yet unsure how to set those events into motion.

The good news is there is more to life than everyday drudgery--you can harness your energy and direction by creating a personal Life List. Not to be mistaken for a simple to-do list, a Life List represents dreams and goals, no matter how fantastic or out-of-reach they seem at the moment.
