I just received an email from\u00a0Platform 2<\/a>\u00a0in Kingsland informing me that they have been sold and are closing. It’s a shame,<\/span> as I’ve eaten there a few times<\/a> and enjoyed the food.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the four years I’ve lived in the neighbourhood three restaurants in those premises have closed. First was an upmarket Indian restaurant, whose name I don’t recall. It was a bit pricey but very tasty. Then was Fire and Earth. It closed before I visited. Now Platform 2 is closing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The email I received has invited me to tapas and wine on Saturday 28th<\/sup> (booking is preferred). There’s also a Jazz Band playing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This invite may conflict with having an ex come and cook Indian for me at home, tentatively set for Friday or Saturday, depending on his work schedule.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
