I like dabbling with cooking, often trying new recipes. I enjoy the challenge of baking. I endorse these recipes. I&#8217;ve tried most of them. Many come from my mother&#8217;s old recipe book and are ones I enjoyed growing up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I live in New Zealand and use the metric system, but many old recipes use imperial measurements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The photo below includes my mother&#8217;s recipe book, her old <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edmonds_(brand)\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Edmonds_(brand)\">Edmonds<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/shadowfoot.com\/recipe\/tag\/baking-powder\/\">baking powder<\/a> tin and a jar containing <a href=\"https:\/\/shadowfoot.com\/recipe\/tag\/ginger\/\">ginger<\/a> for cooking.
