Simple, delicious, and sure to become a favourite!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2\u00bc cups Flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cup Sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cup Butter, softened<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cup Golden Syrup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 t Ginger, ground<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 t Mixed Spice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd t Cloves, ground<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd t Nutmeg, grated or ground<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd t Baking Soda<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd t Salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cream butter and sugar. Add the golden syrup, mixing well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add egg and baking soda, mixing well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sift dry ingredients and mix well into the creamed mixture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Roll out the dough 1\/8 inch thick on a lightly floured surface.
