They are baked to golden perfection, and the melted sweets create a stunning stained-glass effect. Store them in an airtight container to keep them crisp and beautiful for serving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>225g Butter, softened<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>275g Sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd t Baking Soda<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bc cup Water<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>500g Flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Boiled Sweets, finely crushed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tip: check out lifesavers or clear lollipops as options for this.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cream the butter and sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dissolve baking soda in water. Add to creamed mixture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add flour to the mixture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Roll the dough out thinly. Cut with a large cutter and cut centres out with a small cutter. Avoid having a border that is too thin, as these break easily.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place cut-outs on baking paper on a tray. Bake at 180\u00b0C for about four minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove from oven and add a generous amount of crushed sweets to centres.
