With just a handful of ingredients, they bake up light, fluffy, and slightly sweet\u2014no extra sugar needed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Yielding a generous batch, these scones stay fresh for days and pair beautifully with cream or jam. Simple to make and absolutely delightful, they\u2019re sure to become a favourite in your baking repertoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>4 cups <a href=\"https:\/\/shadowfoot.com\/recipe\/substitutions\/flour-substitution\/#self-raising-flour\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"640\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">self-raising flour<\/a> (I use standard flour plus baking powder)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 can lemonade (330ml)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 bottle cream (300ml)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pinch of salt (always when using flour)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: There is no need to add extra sugar to scones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preheat oven to 220\u00b0C.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mix all ingredients in a large bowl to form a soft dough.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Turn onto a floured surface and knead into a squarish shape about 2 cm thick.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut into size and place together on an ungreased baking tray. (I used baking paper.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bake for 10 &#8211; 15 minutes, until top is browned.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Enjoy with cream or jam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tip: add a cup or so of sultanas and enjoy sultana scones, something I don&#8217;t see as often nowadays.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>These lemonade scones are a quick and easy treat that is perfect for any occasion.
