Serve it warm for a comforting treat that\u2019s ideal for any occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sweet shortcrust pastry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apples, peeled and sliced (I used canned)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon lemon zest<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon ground cinnamon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tablespoons, plus 1 teaspoon sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 egg, lightly beaten<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Prepare a baking tray with either baking parchment or lightly coat with vegetable cooking spray.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add lemon juice, cinnamon, and 2T sugar to apples and mix to coat apples.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place pastry on the prepared baking tray<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mound the apples in the centre of the pastry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sprinkle zest over apples.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fold up the edges of the pastry, making pleats, as necessary, around apples.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brush pastry with egg.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sprinkle the entire tart with the remaining sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bake at 190\u00b0C until the crust is golden brown, about 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Rustic Apple Tart is a delightful dessert that\u2019s as easy to make as it is beautiful.
