The tender, ginger-spiced pudding bakes in its luscious brown sugar sauce, creating a rich, flavorful, and wonderfully moist dessert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>It is easily adaptable and can be baked in individual ramekins or as a single dish. Serve it warm with cream or ice cream for an irresistible dessert that\u2019s sure to delight. Add fresh or crystallized ginger for an extra zing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Serves 6-8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pudding:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>100g Butter, melted<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 teaspoon ground Ginger<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g brown Sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 eggs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>100g Flour<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1\u00bd teaspoons Baking Powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sauce:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>100g Brown Sugar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 cup boiling Water<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Mix melted butter, 100g sugar, and ginger together.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mix in eggs one at a time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lightly mix in flour and baking powder until just combined. Do not over-mix.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to make the sauce, dissolve the other half of the brown sugar (100g) with the boiling water.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gently pour the sauce into the ramekins on top of the batter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cover loosely with foil and bake for 25 minutes in a pre-heated moderate (180\u00b0C) oven.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remove foil and continue baking for another 5 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve hot with cream or ice cream.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can use <a href=\"https:\/\/shadowfoot.com\/recipe\/substitutions\/flour-substitution\/#self-raising-flour\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">self-raising flour<\/a> and omit the baking powder<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Substitute one tablespoon (or more) of grated fresh ginger for the ground ginger.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can add chunks of crystallised ginger for a bonus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This recipe works well in individual 1-cup ramekins but can be made in a single dish, needing additional cooking time. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This Ginger Pudding with Brown Sugar Sauce is a cosy, indulgent treat perfect for chilly evenings or special occasions.
