It’s been three weeks since my accident. I am sick of taking anti-inflammatory drugs. I went a day-and-a-half without them and this morning the walk to the bus was difficult. My knee is still swollen on one side, and my foot hurts when I pronate it. (I’m flat-footed and over pronate as it is.)
My foot is not up to pedalling, so the two more weeks I have with my bus pass will be most useful, not that I have my replacement bike yet. Catching the bus has allowed me to catch up on my reading.
I’m also feeling the effects of the lack of exercise; my sweet tooth kicks in big-time. I’ve thought about going to the gym, but how do you do a cardio warm-up without using your feet? Limping around in the shower afterwards is not something I’m looking forward to. Using the dumbbells and swiss ball at home just isn’t doing enough.
