I just received an email from Platform 2 in Kingsland informing me that they have been sold and are closing. It’s a shame, as I’ve eaten there a few times and enjoyed the food.
In the four years I’ve lived in the neighbourhood three restaurants in those premises have closed. First was an upmarket Indian restaurant, whose name I don’t recall. It was a bit pricey but very tasty. Then was Fire and Earth. It closed before I visited. Now Platform 2 is closing.
The email I received has invited me to tapas and wine on Saturday 28th (booking is preferred). There’s also a Jazz Band playing.
This invite may conflict with having an ex come and cook Indian for me at home, tentatively set for Friday or Saturday, depending on his work schedule.
