This Brandy Butter Icing is a luxurious topping, perfect for enhancing the flavour of your Christmas cake or any festive bake. With golden syrup for a hint of sweetness and brandy for a warm, indulgent touch, it spreads smoothly and creates beautiful swirls for a stunning presentation.
Ingredients
- 450g icing sugar
- 150g butter, softened
- 3 tbsp golden syrup
- 3-4 tbsp brandy
Method
- Gradually beat the icing sugar into the butter, adding the golden syrup and enough brandy until the icing is smooth and spreadable.
- Spread over the top and sides of the cake, swirling it with a palette knife.
I used this on my Christmas cake.
