Crispy Pan-Fried Gnocchi

This Crispy Pan-Fried Gnocchi is a versatile and irresistible side dish, perfect for elevating any meal. Whether using homemade, fresh, or shelf-stable gnocchi, the result is golden, crispy perfection with a touch of garlic, chilli, and Parmesan.

Pan-fried until golden brown, the gnocchi is tossed with infused garlic oil and melted cheese for a dish full of flavour and texture. Simple to prepare, it’s a crowd-pleaser that pairs beautifully with your favourite mains or stands out on its own!

Serves 3-4 as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 packet gnocchi
  • 3 cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • ½ cup finely grated Parmesan Cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon Chilli

Method

  1. Heat olive oil over a low heat, and add the garlic and chilli. Take off the heat and leave to infuse.
  2. Cook the gnocchi in a pot of salted boiling water until they float. Drain cooked gnocchi.
  3. Strain infused oil (step 1 above) and heat.
  4. Add drained gnocchi to hot oil and pan fry until golden brown, flipping once.
  5. Add strained garlic and chilli to gnocchi.
  6. Remove from heat and stir through the cheese until cheese is melted.
