This Crispy Pan-Fried Gnocchi is a versatile and irresistible side dish, perfect for elevating any meal. Whether using homemade, fresh, or shelf-stable gnocchi, the result is golden, crispy perfection with a touch of garlic, chilli, and Parmesan.
Pan-fried until golden brown, the gnocchi is tossed with infused garlic oil and melted cheese for a dish full of flavour and texture. Simple to prepare, it’s a crowd-pleaser that pairs beautifully with your favourite mains or stands out on its own!
Serves 3-4 as a side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 packet gnocchi
- 3 cloves Garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- ½ cup finely grated Parmesan Cheese
- ¼ teaspoon Chilli
Method
- Heat olive oil over a low heat, and add the garlic and chilli. Take off the heat and leave to infuse.
- Cook the gnocchi in a pot of salted boiling water until they float. Drain cooked gnocchi.
- Strain infused oil (step 1 above) and heat.
- Add drained gnocchi to hot oil and pan fry until golden brown, flipping once.
- Add strained garlic and chilli to gnocchi.
- Remove from heat and stir through the cheese until cheese is melted.
